I saw jets of light shining from cities and villages, and from the high places and the low places of the earth. God's word was obeyed, and as a result there were memorials for Him in every city and village. His truth was proclaimed throughout the world. --Testimonies, vol. 9, pp. 28, 29. {ChS 112.2}

Truckload of Blessings and Calendar Engagements

I apologize for not having attended to this blog for the past few weeks... I was doing "Grandma duty" with my little grandbabies and their family... or attempting to do something useful. (If you want to see pictures of our grandbabies, you'll either have to go to Facebook or email us... we'll happily oblige.)

But I'm back...

*Pastor Gordon and Lydia have relocated to Campbell River and continue to be sustained by your prayers
*Betty lost her husband Percy and also welcomes your prayers
*Last Sabbath Ruth came to Church with her arm in a sling and went off to the Walk-In Clinic where it was determined that she had broken the wrist/thumb area of her left hand during a fall. Prayers and practical help is needed here!
*Bernie and Pauline are enjoying their foray back into teaching in California and ask for prayers for the individuals and families affected by the wildfires in/near San Diego.
*Pastor Normand continues to present the Revelation of Hope Series every Sunday, Wednesday and Friday nights at 7pm at the Church. You are welcome to come and invited friends along to this informational and hope-making series of seminars.
*Next Women's Ministries Lunch will be at the Church on November 5th at 12 Noon.
* J. will be coming to Canada again in November, this time to do her certification training at UBC for approximately three months, and then to work under contract with London Drugs as their Pharmacist in Courtenay. We are all so excited and grateful to God for these events!
*Anne attended the seminar training at Aldergrove Church on outreaching to the Post-moderns and gave an informational, valuable review on Sabbath afternoon. We look forward to seeing how this unfolds in our Church.
*June went to the Silver Hills (Alive Wellness Centre) Spa in September and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. She recommends it for others.
*L. is hosting a Women's Bible Study on Thursday evenings in her home.
*Kim is looking great and back at work at her clinic.
* Dan and Marylou are back from their summer travels to the Maritimes and down the Eastern Seaboard, although Dan has back problems and Marylou is getting over a bad cold.
* The Nomination Process is in full-swing at the Church. On the Nomination Committee are: Ruth, Mike, Dan, Ed, Cynthia, and Pastor Cote. Please pray that the right people will be available for the call to service in the offices suited to their particular gifts.
*Please check the Church page for birthdays, anniversaries, etc. This past Sabbath we sang Happy Birthday to a couple of our members.
*Au Revoir to those who are doing the "Snowbirds Waltz", South-bound!
*Bible Study and Prayer Meeting is on Tuesday at 2 pm. Remember please that orders and payment for citrus fruits purchases (for the Christian School in Campbell River) need to be finalized by October 30th (Tuesday).
*There will be a Special Church Business Meeting on November 4th at 10 a.m. at the Church. We will be discussing upcoming Evangelism. All members please attend.
*Meet Lawrence who recently moved to the Valley from Parksville.
*Bonnie's surgery went fine, Praise the Lord!
These are my scattered gleanings. What did I miss or screw up? Let me know!
